Please enable the Bug Fixes hack (located on the Settings tab) and go into that hack's "Mod Settings" menu, and then make sure "Late Focus Freeze" is ticked.

You could upload them to a file host service and share links (Discord will let you do this directly), or just copy the contents.

I'm not sure on the specifies, I recall hearing at one point that the game has hardcode that defines how many Buzz Cola Crates/Vending Machines in a region can be tracked in the save data, which probably ties in to the P3D data chunk names. I guess any additional props of that nature just don't count. Certain non-Buzz Cola props have flags in the save data too (such as the Lemonade Stand), and that's probably a similar thing but hardcoded a bit differently.

Hey Addy, dunno if you've encountered this, but every time I start to control the RC car the mod crashes no matter what. I'll update you if I can figure out what's going on.

Uh-oh, that doesn't sound good. I myself haven't encountered it, and I haven't been reported this issue by anyone else. Nonetheless it bears investigating. Something that would help a lot with regards to that is if you could upload and link a crash dump here on the forum. Make sure "Save Crash Dump" is enabled in the launcher's settings and then repeat the steps that lead up to the crash. After it crashes, open "Documents\My Games\Lucas' Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher\Crashes" and find the .DMP file with the most recent timestamp as it's filename. If you could upload that to a file hosting website and then share a link here, I can get the crash dump to Lucas, who can hopefully understand from it roughly what the issue is, and then I can go off of that. Thanks.

Why I can't enter any vehicles during mission 2 and 4?

One thing I didn't understand was what am I supposed to "avoid" during the part where Bart had to collect the cola crate? I just kept failing the mission as I walked over to collect it.

I've become aware of a couple of things I'd like to improve/fix up (for example, the cola crate stage being a bit vague, and card quotes still showing), so soon enough I'll update the mod to improve these things and more. It'll be a soft update, though, so I won't bump the thread.

Currently no hack supports having more than one, though it is definitely a good idea.

As I understand it, the game can only have one free vehicle spawn trigger active *at once*. You can have multiple per level, but you'd need to not put them in the TERRA file and instead use dyna-loaded region files. Even doing that only one region can have a free vehicle at once so that region needs to be unloaded before any others will work.

How are you supposed to even play this mod if the mod doesn't even let you apply it's dependency (Colou's Fully Connected Map mod)?

The necessary files for the Fully Connected Map are contained within this mod, as with any other mod that uses it. You don't enable both the mod and the Fully Connected Map at the same time, just the mod.

Ooh, I didn't know about this. That's neat. The video seems to have been recorded with the game running at above what it was intended to (60 FPS) so that could affect things. I know some structures can be driven through (at least on console) while at high vehicle speeds so the fact that this works with low speed is interesting.

If changing the mission from S-M-R-T to any other level in Level 1 whilst outside the Simpsons house, Marge will fail to unload correctly. Only her mission prompt will disappear.

Yeah, I think that's a general oversight with the way the game handles NPC loading/unloading. If I recall correctly, NPCs in that context or similar contexts are unloaded by the game when you unload the region they're in (i.e driving far enough away from Evergreen Terrace here) and quick mission warping doesn't explicitly remove them so if you can quick warp and still be in the same region, the NPC will still be there.

When jumping over the Kwik-E-Mart roof, it is possible to bypass the music triggers and drive around Springfield with the Kwik-E-Mart roof music.

That's actually also possible just on-foot. I love this game.

I think it'd be neat and convenient for a hack to access that menu to exist (especially since mods can customise it and that has potential), however I don't really know how fixable any of the menu's issues are beyond the lack of reverse scroll looping. They aren't really bugs, moreso just side effects of how the teleport menu works: it teleports the player from where they are immediately to the area chosen in the menu, meaning the camera has to catch up (though I suppose maybe it could be programmed to reset the camera instead) and that the triggers placed near enterances to areas to change pedestrian groups, lighting and audio don't get hit.

Time for another update! This time, there are two things I'd like to address.

1. The actual update
v1.2 is here and ready! This release includes some fixes and adjustments, a few small graphical changes, and Level 2! The second level takes place near Christmas on a snowy Level 4 map made by maz. Things you can do:

• Find 32 unique Wasp Cameras! (Or, as they're disguising themselves, Snowman heads.)
• Unlock Christmas themed rewards including maz's Candy Cane car and Snowflake decorated Ferrini - Red, as well as Homer - "Elf" (made by Donut Team).
• Collect all 7 "Useless Cards"!
• Complete the Bonus Mission.

2. The mod's future
Wasp Cam Hunt was originally made as "test mod" of sorts, and was only intended to include 1 level. However, I was and still am happy with the results and experience. In the forseeable future, I plan to update the mod further to include more levels, very possibly starting with the Road Rage maps. Exciting stuff, I look forward to it.

The free camera is available via a cheat code, as maz has pointed out: docs.donutteam.com/docs/hitandrun/misc/cheat-codes

To access it after entering the code, you must pause the game and go into Options > Settings, then change the "Camera" option to "Debug Cam". If in a vehicle, you can just press the camera switch key and cycle to it.

On PC, the Debug Cam is controlled by using the binded movement keys/buttons to move the camera. Holding the "look up" key/button and pressing up/down will zoom in/out. On console, camera movement is controlled with the left thumbstick of controller 2 (click in and press up/down to control zoom).

I'd recommend adjusting settings or trying to find a more lightweight software to use for recording. OBS Studio also lags for me.

Hii, sorry for getting late to you. I believe that is refering to the SKippable Start Cameras hack/setting in the launcher.
You can enable it by going to the Settings tab in your Launcher then scrolling down until you find the setting.

Correction: that hack is banned. The rules are referring to an ingame glitch which is tutorialed here:

This glitch can be carried through to the main menu, therefore you can activate it, exit to the main menu, load the game, and then continue.

Yeah as it turns out the sounds do play but there are some nuances. This was learned a while ago.

• You need to have the camera facing backwards, with Homer looking towards the camera, and then enter the trigger(s). This is either a very weird bug or hardcoded.
• The sound effects have a probability to play rate set in a SPT file that determines the chance of each one playing. The rate is always set to less than 1.000000 so they won't always play.

I had it happen very randomly the other day in the vanilla game (No Audio disabled) just after exiting the vehicle in L1M6. Not sure if the out of vehicle cue played. Didn't happen again and was very weird though.

I liked playing this mod, very cool! The plot/missions are nice and simple and the custom music was a brilliant touch! I noticed that some of the item hitboxes were a bit small (including the triggers in Springfield Circuit which also lack a visual cue on top such as the carsphere), but those are small fixes.
