We've identified the cause of the crash some people experienced when starting Mission 5. This crash occured when playing the Taxi Mission and then playing Mission 5 afterwards (unless you play the bonus mission in between).

It will be resolved in the next version.

We're still investigating and considering solutions to the crashes that can occur in M2, M5 (a different crash partway through the mission) and the bonus mission.

Donut Mod 4 is not decompilable at this time.

That assert means your save file is incompatible due to it having an unlocked reward (a car or skin) in a slot that is not filled by the mods rewards.

I don't believe this should be able to happen unless you're using a saved game from another mod with more rewards than this one in any level (including levels 3 to 7).

Could you provide more information?

EDIT: Corrected some information above. Also, could you please share the saved game you're trying to use? You can get to it by enabling the mod and clicking "Open... > Saved Games (Donut Mod)" on the main window of the Mod Launcher.

I don't believe what you want to do is currently possible.

This feature doesn't currently exist and it cannot be provided by mods for the Mod Launcher at this time.

Nightbane is still actively working on Annoy Squidward as far as I know. The current public beta he has has 4 missions and a bunch of other content if you're just after more Spongebob content.

That said, he certainly doesn't hold the exclusive rights to make a Spongebob mod or anything. I don't see why someone else wouldn't be able to also make one if they wanted to as long as they don't directly rip off the story he made.

This build has a number of improvements and bug fixes:

• Adds support for saving during movies.
  • You could already load states during movies in previous versions.
• Adds support for the Video Texture Support hack.
• Fixed a bug where certain sound effects would not be resumed at the correct point after loading a state.
• Fixed an issue where having Rumble unticked in XInput would cause the game to crash on startup or when loading a state if you had any controllers connected.
• Fixed some crashes related to DirectInput when loading a state. Also made some DirectInput related things that would cause a crash get ignored when loading a state.
• Made various asserts only show up when using the "-testing" command line argument.
• Made it so if the game tries to exit unexpectedly, you should now be able to resume a save state like how you can with some other types of crashes.
• Made it so testing builds have a canary-coloured icon (as pre-release versions of programs often do) and show their codename in the title of the program.
  • For example, this release will show "Save States Test 8" in place of "Version 1.23.2".
• Made it so audio will stop when a crash message with a prompt to load a state shows up.

You need to use the command line arguments because it's a command line tool.

There's tutorials on the documentation here. You would put the instructions there in a command prompt window or a batch file (changing the paths to where ever you put the tool and your files/folders).

This is an updated build with preliminary mod support and significant improvements to load times while the hack is enabled.

Mods are no longer blacklisted with the exception of Discord Rich Presence, Text Names and NVIDIA Highlights which are still explicitly blocked.

Mod compatibility depends on what functionality and hacks the mods require to function. For example, Additional Script Functionality and Video Texture Support refuse to load at this time.

This version also includes stacking status messages when there's rapid saving and loading. This can be disabled in the hack's settings.

I don't recall intentionally making that mod non-decompilable so I'll probably update it at some point in the future to allow it. For now the files you asked for are above.

We added it in the code though there's a mistake that causes it to not work that we didn't catch. Will be fixed in the next version.

Ah yeah, I'm at work right now but I'm going to hazard a guess that I unintentionally forgot to add the modified version of the Gag with Kearney to the list of files to copy in the batch script that compiles the beta.

That change will also be included in the next version. For now I've just subtracted these from the changelog above and I'll update the one on the documentation site later when I'm at home.

Hey everyone, it's been a few months and we're hard at work on Level 2 but in the meantime we have a bunch of changes to Level 1.

4.0-PB3 Changelog

General

Changed the internal name of the "Taxi Mission Shift Length" setting. This means you will need to set it again in this version.

Frontend

• Added new scrapbook images for Level 1 missions.
• Adjusted the background of the mission failed screen to fully cover the screen (there was a small gap on the left side before).
• Adjusted the color and position of the mission number and title when viewing a mission in the scrapbook.

Taxi Mission

• Added difficulty support to all of Apu, Bart and Barney's routes.
• Added a special forced car to the mission.
• Overhauled route selection logic. It cannot result in an infinite loop anymore and also always starts your shift in the starting area of the mission.

Music
Removed the custom music in the Stonecutter's tunnel.

Miscellaneous
Added a new easter egg.

I updated the development timeline slightly to have a new video on June 4th.

Do you mean it just hangs indefinitely when talking to an NPC?

If so, do you have a non-English version of the game? If you do, then it's because these mods don't support those versions of the game while Donut Mod does.
