Community,

We have just published a new version of Lucas' Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher on our tools page of our SHAR Mods website. This update introduces several changes and fixes for the Launcher.

Download it from the SHAR Mods tools page.

Launcher/Hack Support
- Added support for pages and groups in Mod Settings.
- Made warnings work for all types of setting.
- Made warnings only appear if the previous value didn't meet the warning condition.
- Added the ability to compile mods that do not have an OutputPath property in their Compile section
- Added UncompiledOnly for Setting sections in mods. This will remove the setting when compiling the mod.
- Added back support for minifying art when compiling a mod.
- Fixed a bug where an error message would appear after launching the game with the Mod Launcher's "-launch" command line argument.
- Made mod information headers bold.
- Added support for groups in author sections of a mod's Meta.ini. Simply add "Group=A Group Name" to an author section to group it.
- Made the game support DPIs other than 96.
- Added Show Newest File to the right click menu of mods.
- Made the information box zoom get saved.
- Improved crash dump saving.
- Fixed a bug when combining authors with notes for the information box when multiple mods are selected.
- Unchanged mod settings are no longer stored.
- Changed the copyright of the Mod Launcher's executable from "Copyright © Lucas Stuff 2013-2015" to "Copyright © Lucas Stuff 2013-2016".
- Fixed an issue that caused a crash when attempting to load non-UTF-8, non-ANSI Lua files.

Custom Dialogue Character Codes Hack
- Added support for Nongeneric Characters.

Custom Files Hack
- Fixed a bug where IsModEnabled returned false for mod hacks.
- Updated math.random to support integers.
- Added access to several previously inaccessible Lua provided functions.
- Made GetSetting return nil instead of throwing an error if a setting doesn't exist. Mod creators should do checks for nil on UncompiledOnly settings.

Cheat Keys Hack
- Made keys only work once for each key press.

Frame Limiter Hack
- Made this hack default to being ticked as the game has issues of varying severity at frame rates above or below a certain range (the game runs best at 60 FPS).

Sincerely,
Loren Goodwin

What for? I had fun racing around Luigi Circuit as Homer with the teleport forward button.
I'm upset about it too, but Lucas insisted!
