We're temporarily disabling account verification requests. This system was not to verify your email, it was used to add a verified checkmark next to your name when you post if you were a popular content creator or a helpful community member.
The system seems to be misunderstood by most users as to what its purpose is or is spammed. As shown below:

We're going to rework the system and re-release it when we feel it is ready. If you're a popular creator or a super helpful community member, we'll automatically verify your account if we notice you (or you reach out to us) -- We've already verified @LiquidWiFi and @Tamago without them asking.
This is a minor change, however we wanted to alert everyone so they know why it has disappeared.
