Is it possible to change the race countdown in, say for example, race two of level two. I've told the game to ignore lines of the text countdown and the message index, but it doesn't stop the sound clip from playing. So is it possible to stop the sound clip of the countdown to play before the race?
Kenny Giles From my understanding, the Street Race countdowns are hardcoded to always play in every Street Race, meaning removing the countdown won't get rid of them.

However, what you can do is edit dialog.spt from scripts.rcf (which you can extract via Lucas' RCF Explorer), tell the "countdown" conversations to use a blank RSD (you can create a blank RSD with Lucas' RSD Editor),or try just outright removing them and then saving it. Once this is done, you can shove the SPT script in \CustomFiles\sound\scripts, load the game, and the countdown dialog should be gone from your modified Street Race.
