Error message when launching the game with the More Costumes mod

In the lucas launcher, I try to install the more costumes mod and everything seems ship shape until I get an error message when I try to launch the game. It says that I need to install mod 'direct 3D9' I tried to download a 3D9 driver from microsoft and it still does nothing, but flash the error message. Is there some kind of Donut Team specific driver or some other co-requisite mod that it's looking for or what am I missing?

"Direct3D 9" is a hack of the mod launcher.
Go on the "Settings" tab and enable it. I hope this helps!
