Loren Douglas seems to be right in that it appears to be a proprietary connector for the Xbox. It's certainly not USB or a mainstream form of it.

DeadSonRisingxD As Douglas said, it is a in-house thing of Microsoft, bit like the new iPhone having it's own audio jack. It's an adapter to plug into the Xbox.
