I just saw a map port mod by "derpster", which is none other than the Halo CE Multiplayer map "Blood Gulch". I've always dreamed of a game based on my favorite series ever "Red vs Blue". (And yes, I do realise that RvB is based on Halo, and as such is already technically a game. But I'm talking about a game that specifically follows the events of the Reds & Blues of Blood Gulch)
While I don't think it's possible to fit the series in scene-for-scene, I do think we could take some of the key points of the series and turn them into missions that would work in TSHAR's format.
Here's a rough idea of what I'm thinking:
Level 1:
Map - Blood Gulch
Player - Donut (Red Armor)
Personal Vehicle - Mongoose
And then the Missions would be based on events that specifically include Donut.
Tutorial - Headlight Fluid
1st Mission - Flagged Down (Basically an "Evade the chaser" type mission. While not series accurate, the Blues will chase Donut across the canyon, and Donut will have to outrun their range, with both parties using vehicles of course)
2nd Mission - Tanks For Dropping By (Donut will have to make his way across the cliff but avoid getting spotted by Sheila & Caboose)
And so on...
Level 2:
Map - Battle Creek, Chiron TL 34, Sidewinder (Walk up to a teleporter and press the interaction button to be teleported to each of the maps, essentially the same mechanic as accessing interiors)
Player - Caboose
Personal Vehicle - (Unsure)
And once again, the missions will be based on events involving Caboose on all 3 of these maps.
Level 3:
Map - Burial Mounds, Zanzibar
Player - Tucker (Tucker with Sword/Key will be an outfit you will have to purchase before accessing the mission that takes place after he finds it)
And again, Missions based around Tucker in these two maps.
Level 4:
Map - Backwash, Burial Mounds, Containment, Relic
Player - Tex
Missions will be mostly Alien Quest, followed by a showdown with Wyoming on Relic.
Level 5:
Map - Coagulation, Waterworks
Player - Sarge
Missions will be major events from Season 4 & Season 5, from Sarge's perspective. (I know it would be more fun from Tucker's perspective, with the time travel elements, or as Church when he enters Caboose's mind. But I think the Reds discovering the underground caverns and VIC's console would be better for exploration purposes.
For the playable Characters, their outfits will mostly consist of what we see them in throughout the series.
Donut: Mk V Red, Mk V Red w/Sticky Grenade, Mk V Pink, Mk VI Pink
Caboose: Mk V Blue, Mk V Black, Mk VI Blue, Mk VI Blue w/Andy
Tucker: Mk VI Cyan, Mk VI Cyan w/Sword, Mk V Cyan, Mk V Black
Tex: Mk VI Black, Mk VI Black AI (Ghost), Mk V Black, Mk V Active Camo
Sarge: Mk VI Red, Mk VI Red w/Shotgun, Mk V Red, Mk V Red w/Shotgun
As for the NPCs, they will have both Mk V & Mk VI options in their respective colours, and use the ones appropriate to each map. (With the exception of Simmons, who will have an additional Blue Mk VI outfit for Level 5, during some of the Season 4 based missions, and Sister will only have a Mk VI variant as she only appears in Season 5) Sheila will have 2 Tank models, as one will be used as an NPC during dialogue segments, the other will be an unlockable drivable variant.

The mod is decompilable, so you are free to use it as you please with your own mods if you want to do that sort of thing, go for it! My goal with it wasn't to make "Halo: Hit & Run" necessarily, more-so an simple, open resource people in the community can reverse engineer and examine as a reference to help them with the hefty task of map-building (people are free to use it in their mods too, but I highly encourage the former).
Alternatively, I might provide a set of Halo 1 Spartan skins to play with in a future update (would be fun for multiplayer), so that would eliminate half of the effort of making an RvB-style mod set in Blood Gulch for anyone that wishes to do that sort of thing. There's more content ideas I have beyond that too, but right now I need to focus on ironing out the annoying bugs I missed for 1.0.1 before I can think about implementing new content. With that being said, I'll definitely think about it. Thanks!
