Surreal Bot I see. So that's what was stumping me: the order of the bytes of the original file's size in hexadecimal. Everything seems to work fine now! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Loren Also here how I keep track of my changes to .rms files in my new Soundtrack mod I'm working on for fun, again I'd highly recommend doing this.

Also I should note that obviously not all music files are referenced by every .rms. If you can't find the bytes don't freak out, it's just not referenced by that file. Also make sure you're searching the file in both directions.
