In some version of Windows Microsoft added this virtual store thing to try and prevent programs from writing files to Program Files because

I believe the virtual store is in C:\Users<Username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore
And inside that would be a Program Files (x86) folder.
And then a Vivendi Universal Games folder or maybe some other name depending on where he got the game from.
And then a The Simpsons Hit & Run folder.
And that would be where the saved game probably is."
