how exactly can I replace the files?? specify more pls

Right-click on the mods and decompile them.

Then go inside Fully Connected Map, CustomFiles/art/ and copy all files from there by selecting them & right-clicking and then go to Copy.

Last step, go inside Donut Mod, on the same path (CustomFiles/art/) then right-click and press Paste to add your files.
For every existing file, you will be asked if you want to replace the files - replace them (first option)

Now you should have DM4 with FCM areas. Whether or not that will cause any problems/crashes, I don't know but I expect it to because the two mods were not made for compatibility with each other.

and if I want to make it with DM4 and Characters swap plus plus?? I think that would be easier and would not cause any crashes

Same thing, just copy files from a mod to another.
