Project Donut 10AE black screen on mission completion

When I complete a mission during the first level I get a black screen, I can exit out of the black screen but the mission ending doesn't trigger and I only get the option to restart or cancel the mission in the start menu. Is there a fix for this issue? TIA

Tried 3 different copies of the game. I have audio functional using the game without the mod loader v1.26.1, but when I do use the mod loader, there is no music either in the main menu or in game with driving.
