Why when I lunch the game i see no people but i can see my name

I have had an experience in which I have been unable to upload a mod to the launcher. It was the right extension at ".lmlm" and was placed into the mods folder, but it doesn't appear to show up in the launcher. I haven't experienced this before and would like to know how it can be fixed.

So, the problem I'm having with the launcher is that despite copying over the files from CD 1, the mod launcher still says that a minimal install's not supported. Thanks for providing help on this issue. Turns out I got the Spanish exe for the game, which was solved by getting the English one.
